SuperEnalotto: Official Guide, Rules, Odds & How to Play
Italy's legendary lottery — no jackpot cap, jackpots can grow to €300M+, drawn Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday
Draws every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at 8:00 PM CET (Rome) — results via official SuperEnalotto site and SmartLotto
SuperEnalotto is Italy's flagship national lottery and one of the most famous — and most challenging — lotteries in the world. Operated by Sisal under a licence from Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli, it uses a 6/90 format — the largest main ball pool of any major lottery on Earth.
Because the ball pool contains 90 numbers, the jackpot odds are an astronomical 1 in 622,614,630 — by far the worst jackpot odds of any major lottery. This means SuperEnalotto jackpots can roll over for months or even years, growing to extraordinary levels. The largest-ever jackpot was €371.1 million in August 2023 — the largest lottery jackpot in world history at the time.

Watch the Draw — Tue, Thu & Saturday
Draws take place at 8:00 PM CET (Rome) on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Numbers are drawn from six regional lotto wheels (Bari, Florence, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Rome, Turin, Venice) plus one national wheel.
Claim Your Prize
Lower division prizes paid at any authorised lottery retailer. Larger prizes require a claim at a Sisal claims centre. All prizes paid as a lump sum — note Italian prizes are subject to a 20% withholding tax.
SuperEnalotto draws one additional number called the Jolly from the remaining balls after the main 6 have been drawn. The Jolly applies only to Division 2 — it upgrades a 5-number match to Division 2 if the Jolly also matches.
SuperStar Add-On: For an extra €0.50, players can add a SuperStar number (1–90) to their ticket. If the SuperStar matches one of the drawn numbers, it multiplies prizes across all divisions and can add up to €2M to any winning prize. SuperStar significantly improves the value-to-cost ratio of a SuperEnalotto ticket.
SuperEnalotto has 6 main prize divisions plus SuperStar bonus prizes. The jackpot (Division 1) has no cap and rolls indefinitely — enabling the world record €371M prize. Division 5 (match 2) is a fixed €5 prize.
